Looking for ways to eat more of the abundance in your area?
I will start with the Upper Midwest for the Menu Plans, since that is what I know, and we along with the Northeast are the most limited in our availability of produce during the winter months. So think of these as a guide.
Summer and Fall will be the easiest, then as fall approaches I’ll post a Winter plan as well as things to do in the fall to prepare. Obviously in this region it is more difficult to eat local foods during winter and spring, unless you happen to have greenhouses nearby.
In the future I hope to open a Reader’s Recipe forum. Choose your location, and give a recipe of what is in season. Then the next mission is to create more menu plans!
